Scholastic Book Fair Tuesday Nov.26-Friday Nov.29th It’s the most wonderful time of the year! That’s right, our Scholastic Book Fair is here! Parents wishing to browse with their children can come before school every morning from 8-9am and after school from 3-4pm.

By purchasing through Scholastic Book Fair, a percentage of sales goes back to our school Library! Consider getting a Wish List from your child and surprising them with the books they can’t wait to get their hands on Christmas morning!

The Great Grain Race

We have been challenged to run a Grain Drive. It will run on Dec 11 and Dec 18 during our Holiday Concerts. The donated items we collect will be used for our Breakfast Program. The more boxes we collect, increases our chances of winning a school wide breakfast provided by Sunset Grill (Welland Ave St. Catharines) and served by characters from Party Perfect Events. As per the nutritian guidelines, we are limited to accepting the following products:

Family Literacy Hour After School Santa Visit Event 3-5pm, Monday, Dec.16th

Everyone knows Santa loves milk and cookies BUT did you ALSO know Santa LOVES to read?

Come to our after school Family Hour on Monday Dec. 16th. Santa will make an appearance around 3:00pm and read a special Christmas story. Afterwards, share some hot chocolate and a treat while you and your family stay and make a Holiday craft together. In lieu of charging admission for this event, we ask that you bring a brand new pair of pyjamas (any size from youth XS to women’s XXL) that we will be donating to Gillian’s Place. Bring 1 pair of new pyjamas per family AND you can even wear your OWN PJ’s too if you like!

Please e-mail Ms. Bonisteel to register elizabeth.bonisteel@dsbn.org

2019-20 BACK TO SCHOOL
STUDENT TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

On Monday, August 19, 2019 Niagara Student Transportation Services (NSTS) will post specific back to school transportation arrangements for each student enrolled, including bus route numbers, stop locations and times.
Please visit www.nsts.ca and sign-in to the secure parent portal to get your child’s student transportation information. To sign-in to the portal you will need your child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN) which can be found on their report card. While signed-in, please subscribe to the delay and cancellation module for direct and timely emails regarding student transportation that impacts your child’s bus route.
Eligibility information is also available through the portal including walking directions if your child lives within the walk zone of the school and is not eligible for transportation service.
Changes to home, pick-up or drop-off addresses must be made through your child’s school. During the summer you may notify NSTS of address changes so we can make sure a bus stop is available for your child to start the school year, however, NSTS is not authorized to change student address information.
With the availability of the secure parent portal, NSTS will not mail student transportation notices with the exception of Kindergarten students or new students to the system who do not have an OEN to sign-in to the portal.
Please contact your school or NSTS if you have questions regarding your child’s transportation arrangements. Phone: 905 357-6787 Website: www.nsts.ca Email: general@nsts.ca
